devote yourselves to prayer

This is what I'm thinking about.
And how I'm faithfully failing at it.

Me too.

One idea that you could try that sometimes helps me is to write out your prayer, because then you won't get as easily distracted.

Of course, that doesn't solve the problem of actually praying in the first place.
